18 Nov holler! (let the weekly contest begin)

So I guess the question is why should you care what a big-haired gal from the windy city likes to obsess over in a marketplace such as this? You don’t have to answer that question. I’m not sure about my taste either (unless it has to do with fashion, or pizza) but regardless I am going to shamelessly post my opinion on this blog.

Why? Because my throat hurts, and none of the herbs I chugged with water are helping, because I am officially dating a robot who will not look away from the computer so I feel the urge to get sucked in as well. And because I have to get up very early tomorrow and going to sleep on time makes too much sense. You see I’m going to make a cameo appearance to Los Angeles for Thanksgiving. I will be bringing my computer, the one I’m dating and the one I used my younger brother’s better credit to make payments on. (Thanks Chris)

If a blogger blogs and there is no one around to read it do they really make a sound? YES YES YES! I’m saying YES aloud now so I can hear it and believe my own ramblings.

ANYWAY! Welcome to my first ever SHOPIFY SHOP OF MY SHOPIFY WEEK contest:)

RANDOM SEARCH: Alarm clocks

REASON FOR SEARCH: My lack of motivation to get out of bed is slowly but surely eating away at my life so I googled “organization tips” one of the articles I read blabbed on about how a positive and loving alarm clock is important so when you hear it rather than burst into tears you slowly and powerfully lift your corpse out of bed and go about your day in a very Zen like fashion.

AND THE WINNER IS….............................................................................

FURNI! (furni.myshopify.com)

Furni, you rule! At first I saw some alarm clocks that looked very much like blocks of wood from afar and I thought I was in the wrong place, but I alas I was in the right place and more importantly my keyboard guided me to victory yet again. (If you can call compulsively checking my gmail a victory that is.)

Furni, I can’t even begin to go about telling you that I don’t have furniture worthy of your alarm clocks. If I could wake up to a FURNI alarm clock, it would make my year. I don’t even need to know what the alarm sounds like, it could be a wailing infant or the sound of my father’s voice, none of that would matter because when my eyes peeled open I would see an interpretation of a panda? hippo? with sound holes carefully spotted over it’s sanded, wooden fur. All that imagery from one little clock.

My favorite design as you can probably guess is //ALBA “LG”

Very well done FURNI. You are officially on my Holiday list, in the meantime I have a month to collect furniture that is not made of cardboard and death.
